Lakeside View Property

There is much to explore at this 19+/- acre property situated on Rattlesnake Mountain.  Bordering the east San Diego County communities of unincorporated Lakeside to the east and Santee to the west, the property has expansive views of the El Cajon Valley and far beyond.  Whether residential development, mitigation land or simply personal conservation property, the opportunities are numerous.  The property is accessible and has utilities available.  Additional details and documents are available upon request.

Coastal sage scrub dominates much of the eastern portion of the property, providing habitat for many bird and animal species.  California Buckwheat, Laurel Sumac and Sagebrush are present along with Monkeyflower, Broom Baccharis and some cacti.  The property borders the Sky Ranch community of Santee to the west and the Sky Ranch preserve.  Owned and managed by the Center for Natural Land Management, the Sky Ranch preserve protects habitat and native species for future generations to come.

The unincorporated community of Lakeside, located in the western foothills of the Cuyamaca Mountains, is home to many natural conservation areas as well as a thriving residential and commercial community.  Many outdoor activities are available including hiking, fishing, hunting, boating and horseback riding.  The Lake Jennings, San Vicente and El Capitan reservoirs offer great recreation options.  The Lakeside Riverpark Foundation is working to protect and revive portions of the San Diego River that pass through, connecting it from the mountains to the ocean. The Lakeside Rodeo draws national attention each spring and is part of the “cowboy town” character that the community was once known for.
